Countrywide Data Thief Gets 8 Months In Prison

Law360, New York (September 29, 2011, 3:01 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge sentenced a former Countrywide Financial Corp. employee Tuesday to eight months in prison and ordered him to pay $1.2 million in restitution for illegally downloading thousands of the mortgage lender’s customer files and selling them to other loan officers.
