CSIRO Adds New Wireless Standard To Patent Case

Law360, New York (June 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Adding more to the list of troubles currently facing companies with products using wireless technology, the Austrialian national science research agency CSIRO amended its patent complaint on Thursday to include the new 802.11n wireless internet standard.

The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization is already suing a slew of technology giants, including Toshiba America Information Sytems Inc., Nintendo of America Inc. and ASUS Computer International, over a patent covering the slower and older 802.11a and 802.11g standards.
