Amaranth Reaches Tentative Deal In Futures Price Suit

Law360, New York (October 6, 2011, 7:33 PM EDT) -- Natural gas futures contracts purchasers reached a tentative deal Wednesday with Amaranth Advisors LLC in their New York federal court class action accusing the hedge fund of manipulating the prices of the contracts.

U.S. District Judge Shira A. Scheindlin said in an order that, based on the preliminary agreement, all deadlines in the case are suspended for 45 days. A Nov. 30 conference in the case will proceed as scheduled.
