JPML Combines Citi Home Loan Program Suits

Law360, New York (October 7, 2011, 3:25 PM EDT) -- A federal judicial panel on Thursday consolidated into the Central District of California eight putative class actions that allege CitiMortgage Inc. broke loan modification agreements with homeowners, despite disagreement among the parties.

The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation ruled that cases in Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and elsewhere in California would move to the district under the supervision of U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer.
