Wyeth Shareholders Seek Class Cert. In Pristiq Suit

Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 10:32 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts pension fund asked a New York federal court Friday to certify a class of investors who claim that Pfizer Inc. unit Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. obscured possibly serious side effects of its menopause and depression drug Pristiq in public announcements.

Lead plaintiff Pipefitters Union Local 537 filed a memorandum asking the court to certify a class of thousands of investors who had purchased Wyeth securities between January 2006 and July 2007.
