NY Judge Keeps Sony’s Calif. Hacking Coverage Suit Alive

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 6:04 PM EDT) -- A New York judge overseeing a suit brought by several insurers against Sony Corp. refused Thursday to force Sony to abandon its own suit in California seeking coverage for the slew of lawsuits it faces after hackers plundered its PlayStation Network for customer information.

Judge Jeffrey K. Oing said that he couldn't issue a preliminary injunction stopping Sony from pursuing its case in California because there were too many unanswered questions about whether one of its insurers, Zurich American Insurance Co., had "pulled a fast one"...
