Sinclair Lands Freedom TV Stations For $385M

Law360, New York (November 2, 2011, 2:36 PM EDT) -- Television broadcasting company Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. will purchase the broadcast assets of media company Freedom Communications Inc. for $385 million in a deal that will expand Sinclair's growing portfolio and help Freedom cut its debt, the companies said Wednesday.

Those assets include eight television stations in Florida, Michigan, New York, Tennessee, Oregon and Texas that reach 2.63 percent of U.S. television households, as well as a number of secondary channels, according to Sinclair.
