Command Audio Lawsuit Vs. Sony Over On-Demand Patents Moves Forward

Law360, New York (January 13, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal district court has rejected Sony Corp.’s assertion that Command Audio purposely misled the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the early 1990s while seeking an on-demand media patent at the center of a lawsuit against the Japanese electronics maker.

The ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California means that Command Audio's lawsuit against Sony for infringing two related Command Audio patents will continue to move forward, Command Audio said in a statement.
