Dems Aim To Fix Holes In Veteran-Owned Biz Program

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 5:56 PM EST) -- Sens. Patty Murray, D-Wash.; Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.; and Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., took aim Monday at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' program to verify which small businesses are considered veteran-owned for contracting purposes, asking the Government Accountability Office to review its effectiveness.

The three senators announced they had sent a letter to GAO head Gene Dodaro targeting the VA's Center for Veterans Enterprise.
