NY High Court Affirms Sirius Win In Radio Licensing Fight

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 4:38 PM EST) -- New York's highest court on Tuesday upheld an arbitration victory for Sirius XM Radio Inc., the latest ruling to favor the satellite radio company in its five-year contract dispute with U.S. Electronics Inc. over the development and sale of satellite radio receivers.

The New York Court of Appeals affirmed previous rulings by the Appellate Division and the Commercial Division of New York Supreme Court that confirmed a unanimous 2008 decision by an arbitration panel that Sirius did not breach its contract with U.S. Electronics.
