Ex-Madoff Trader Cops Plea, Fingers Alleged Cohorts

Law360, New York (November 21, 2011, 5:04 PM EST) -- A longtime Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC trader pled guilty Monday to charges that he aided the infamous Ponzi scheme as far back as the early 1970s, implicating two other Madoff associates.

Appearing in a Manhattan courtroom in a tweed jacket and black trousers, David L. Kugel , 66, admitted that he had for decades helped to author the fake trades that gave a veneer of legitimacy to BLMIS' investment advisory arm.
