Medal Of Honor Recipient Sues BAE For Defamation

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 6:53 PM EST) -- Dakota Meyer, a former U.S. Marine sergeant who recently received the Congressional Medal of Honor for service in Afghanistan, is suing his former employer BAE Systems PLC, saying the defense giant attacked his reputation after he criticized plans to sell sniper scopes to Pakistan.

A BAE supervisor, Bobby McCreight, allegedly belittled and ridiculed Meyer after he criticized the proposed Pakistan sales, leading Meyer to quit his job, according to an amended complaint filed Monday in the District Court of Bexar County, Texas.
