Raytheon Says ITT Froze It Out Of Thermal Camera Deal

Law360, New York (December 6, 2011, 5:02 PM EST) -- Raytheon Co. sued ITT Corp. in Texas on Tuesday, claiming ITT breached a subcontract for the manufacture of infrared thermal cameras used in military night vision goggles, causing Raytheon to suffer damages of at least $13.6 million.

“Raytheon designed, developed, and produced these thermal cameras in strict compliance with all contractual specifications — at great expense — yet ITT has consistently and unreasonably refused to submit the cameras for government approval and accept delivery of all this hardware,” the complaint says.
