Law360, New York (December 7, 2011, 2:53 PM EST) -- A class of female employees of Willis Group Holdings Ltd. asked a New York federal judge on Tuesday to approve an $11.6 million deal to resolve a lawsuit accusing the insurance broker of paying women less than men and offering them fewer promotions.
U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman gave preliminary approval to the proposed settlement in October, and the plaintiffs are now seeking final approval for the deal. No class members have objected to the proposed settlement, according to the plaintiffs.
