'FFXI' Gamers Ask 9th Circ. To Restart False Ad Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (December 8, 2011, 8:07 PM EST) -- “Final Fantasy XI” buyers asked the Ninth Circuit on Thursday to revive their class action alleging the video game's maker Square Enix Inc. never told players that they would be forced to buy another copy of the game if they failed to pay a service fee to play online.

A proposed class of gamers told a three-judge panel that they wouldn't have bought the online version of FFXI had Square Enix disclosed that the game would become useless if they failed to pay the monthly service...
