Jerry Garcia's Wife Makes Peace With Bandmate's Estate

Law360, New York (December 8, 2011, 6:34 PM EST) -- Trustees of the Merl Saunders estate on Monday settled claims against the wife of Grateful Dead icon Jerry Garcia, in a California suit over the unauthorized use of songs the two musicians recorded as part of the Merl & Jerry Band.

U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg signed off on a joint stipulation to dismiss the case with prejudice, citing the provisions of a settlement agreement the parties had reached. Details of the settlement were not disclosed.
