Mass. Town Rejects Rezoning Needed For $1B Casino

Law360, New York (December 9, 2011, 2:02 PM EST) -- A $1 billion casino development project proposed for Foxborough, Mass., by the owner of the New England Patriots and a Las Vegas developer got a setback Thursday night when the town's planning board voted not to support zoning changes needed for the project.

The planning board did not specifically mention the casino project, but it voted no on zoning changes that would accommodate an entertainment facility with indoor and outdoor attributes and that would allow buildings to reach more than 300 feet in height, according to...
