Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 3:29 PM EST) -- Resort operator New Raintree Resorts International LLC has agreed to forgo roughly $20 million in timeshare payments to settle a class action from members alleging they were hit with trumped-up membership charges, according to documents filed Thursday in a California federal court.
Plaintiffs urged U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken to sign off on the settlement, which would provide a nationwide class of Raintree Vacation Club timeshare members with roughly $20 million worth of free vacations and debt forgiveness.
