Medal Of Honor Recipient Drops BAE Defamation Suit

Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 7:34 PM EST) -- A Congressional Medal of Honor recipient on Thursday dropped a lawsuit accusing his former employer BAE Systems PLC of attacking his reputation after he criticized alleged plans to sell sniper scopes to Pakistan, saying the parties have settled their differences.

Former U.S. Marine Sgt. Dakota Meyer also dropped his defamation and retaliation suit against his supervisor at the defense giant, Bobby McCreight, who allegedly belittled and ridiculed Meyer after he criticized the proposed Pakistan sales, leading Meyer to quit his job, according to dismissal notices filed...
