Verizon Unit’s Win Against 2 Wage Class Members Upheld

Law360, New York (December 21, 2011, 8:38 PM EST) -- A California state appeals court ruled Wednesday that a lower court properly ruled against two class members in a proposed class action alleging that a Verizon Wireless unit failed to pay workers for time spent attending mandatory staff meetings.

While the entire class in the case against AirTouch Cellular also appealed the lower court's denial of class certification, the Court of Appeal of the State of California, Second Appellate District declined to review that ruling, which it said was not final.
