NY Assemblyman, Chief Of Staff Indicted Over Bribery

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 9:43 PM EST) -- New York State Assemblyman William Boyland Jr. and his chief of staff were indicted Thursday in New York federal court for their roles in allegedly soliciting more than $250,000 in bribes from carnival promoters and undercover FBI agents pretending to be businessmen and real estate developers.

Boyland and Ryan Hermon were arrested three weeks ago for allegedly soliciting and taking a stream of bribes from a carnival promoter and two undercover FBI agents between August 2010 and August 2011.
