BofA Removes APR Action To Federal Court

Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 8:34 PM EST) -- Bank of America NA on Tuesday removed from a Washington state court to federal court a putative class action brought on behalf of the bank's customers accusing it of fraudulently increasing their annual interest rates.

The case was filed in September by Trina Search, claiming the bank violated federal and state breach of contract, fraud and business laws, among others. She entered into a cardholder agreement with Bank of America in September 2007, under which her account was subject to an annual percentage rate of 16.24...
