ADS Slammed With $38M Afghan Contract Suit

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 3:46 PM EST) -- An Afghan business sued military contractor ADS Inc. for $38 million in New York on Monday, claiming ADS breached a supply agreement with the business and jeopardized its contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Insight Group, a business run by Masuda Sultan, an Afghan-American women's rights advocate, alleges ADS backed out of a supply contract between the parties after the Defense Department renewed two contracts with Insight for another year. The suit specifies only that ADS sold Insight “certain goods” related to the government contracts....
