Merrill Lynch Brokers Argue Against Dukes Link In 7th Circ.

Law360, Chicago (January 13, 2012, 4:50 PM EST) -- An attorney for African-American brokers accusing Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. of a discriminatory bonus system told the Seventh Circuit on Friday that the lower court had erred by denying class certification based on the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Wal-Mart Stores Inc. v. Dukes, arguing that the brokers' case, unlike Dukes, concerns nationwide employment policies.
