Ex-Lawmaker’s Corruption Appeal Rebuffed By High Court

Law360, New York (January 17, 2012, 1:36 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court refused Tuesday to hear the case of an ex-congressman who said corruption charges against him over a land deal should be dismissed based on a constitutional privilege that prevents lawmakers from facing suits over legislative acts.
