AOL Sued For Posting Video Of 'Super Bowl Shuffle'

Law360, New York (January 18, 2012, 8:44 PM EST) -- America Online Inc. was hit with a copyright infringement suit in Illinois federal court Wednesday, alleging the New York-based Internet company posted a 2010 Super Bowl commercial featuring the 1985 Chicago Bears' "Super Bowl Shuffle" to its website without acquiring rights to the music.

Renaissance Marketing Corp., which holds an exclusive license to the song and video, alleged AOL posted 2010's Super Bowl commercials to its FanHouse sports website without licensing the "Shuffle."
