Ex-Army Officers Sentenced For Afghanistan Bribe Plot

Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 9:46 PM EST) -- A Hawaii federal judge has sentenced a former sergeant and a sergeant major in the U.S. Army to 51 months and 31 months in prison, respectively, for their roles in a government contracts bribery scheme at Afghanistan’s Bagram Airfield, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Friday.

U.S. District Judge Leslie E. Kobayashi on Thursday sentenced former Sgt. Charles O. Finch, 45, to 51 months in prison and three years of supervised release, and ordered him to pay $200,000 in restitution to the U.S. Department of Defense....
