EBay's Priority Search Listing Service Failed: Suit

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 5:09 PM EST) -- An electronics manufacturer launched a putative class action Monday in California federal court accusing eBay Inc. of breaching its contract by promoting and selling a service to make ads more visible even though it did not function as promised.

Custom LED LLC, an electronics company that paid for the “Featured Plus!” service from eBay, alleges that the service, which promised to place paid-for listings on eBay Motors at the top of search results pages, did not work as it was supposed to.
