Judicial Panel Centralizes Forgent JPEG Litigation In California

Law360, New York (February 17, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judicial panel has transferred eight cases in Forgent Networks’ controversial JPEG patent litigation to California, where they will be centralized for pretrial proceedings.

The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation transferred the cases to be centralized in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The cases had been pending in the Northern District of California, the District of Delaware, and the Eastern District of Texas, Forgent said.
