Airlines Dismissed From WTC Insurance Suit

Law360 (July 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has given two airlines a reprieve in the legal fallout from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, signing off on stipulations absolving the carriers of liability in a complicated court battle over insurance coverage of the World Trade Center.

U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein gave the stamp of approval to two separate stipulations on Friday, laying to rest cross-claims that had been filed by World Trade Center Properties LLC against the two airlines, America West Airlines Inc. and Midwest Airlines.
