Samsung’s Smartphone IP Suits Prompt EU Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (January 31, 2012, 1:52 PM EST) -- The European Commission on Tuesday began investigating whether Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. anti-competitively abused its patent rights by suing to block the sale of rival smartphones and other mobile devices based on patents that are part of wireless technology standards.
