Judge Refuses To Go With Feds In Spying Case

Law360, New York (July 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss lawsuits filed by several states to discern whether wireless communications companies violated state law by allegedly providing information to the federal government.

The Bush Administration had asked a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to throw out the cases, which were filed by five states after an alleged National Security Agency domestic eavesdropping program came to light.
