Dow Jones IP Case Will Wait For State Court

Law360 (July 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A court agreed on Tuesday to stay a lawsuit against Dow Jones & Co. Inc. and McGraw-Hill & Co. Inc. over the right to publish indices of financial markets, saying that it would wait for an Illinois state court to reach a verdict.

The dispute began in the fall of 2006, when Dow Jones and McGraw-Hill filed lawsuits in Illinois state court against International Securities Exchange Holdings Inc., an operator of securities markets, for allegedly infringing their copyright on certain financial indices.
