Judge Orders Mediation In Drug Pricing Suit

Law360, New York (July 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a bid to bring some closure to a massive antitrust class action alleging a slew of drug makers defrauded consumers by artificially inflating the prices of various prescription medications, a federal judge has ordered certain parties in the case to resolve their differences through mediation.

U.S. District Judge Patti B. Saris said in an order on July 24 that the parties involved in 19 cases in the wide-ranging litigation should meet with a mediator and report on the progress of the mediation within 90 days....
