SuperShuttle Resolves FLSA Fight With NY Drivers

Law360, New York (February 8, 2012, 10:00 PM EST) -- SuperShuttle International Inc. on Wednesday settled a class action brought by franchisees operating shuttle services to and from New York-area airports who alleged they had been misclassified as independent contractors and were owed overtime compensation and other employee benefits.

In an order filed in the Eastern District of New York, U.S. District Judge John Gleeson preliminarily approved a settlement in which SuperShuttle promised to help franchisees sell their contracts to third parties with financing through affiliate Shuttle Associates LLC.
