Judge Nixes Ford’s Bid To Toss Seatbelt Claims

Law360, New York (July 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a blow to Ford Motor Co., a federal judge has denied the auto maker’s motion for summary judgment in a product liability case brought by the husband of a woman who was killed when she was ejected from her Ford Expedition in a 2002 highway crash.

U.S. District Judge Paul A. Crotty on Thursday denied Ford’s motion to dismiss all claims in the case after finding that there were genuine issues of material fact that precluded summary judgment.
