Rockwell Collins, Engineers Settle OT Dispute For $1.2M
Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 4:59 PM EST) -- The representatives for a proposed class of more than 300 Rockwell Collins Inc. engineers on Friday asked a California federal court to sign off on a $1.2 million agreement resolving allegations that the aerospace electronics company unlawfully shorted its employees on overtime pay.
The employees depicted the $1.2 million settlement as a fair resolution for the potential class action proceeding that pitted Rockwell against systems engineers who claimed they were denied overtime pay and rest and meal breaks due to being improperly classified as exempt.
