Pentagon, GSA, NASA Adopt New Contracting Regulations

Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 5:59 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Defense, General Services Administration and NASA on Friday issued a slew of rules regarding government contracts, including set-asides for women-owned businesses and measures to improve competition.

NASA, GSA and the DOD have officially implemented the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Women-Owned Small Business Program regulations, according to the Federal Register.

The rule authorizes the restriction of competition for federal contracts in certain industries to qualified women-owned small businesses. It caps the anticipated award price of the contract at $6.5 million in the case...
