Plaintiff In 'Big Pimpin'' IP Suit Still Lacks Standing

Law360, New York (March 6, 2012, 1:48 PM EST) -- A California federal judge dismissed a copyright suit Friday against the rapper Jay-Z, EMI Music Inc. and others over an Egyptian song sampled in the rap anthem "Big Pimpin'," rejecting the plaintiff's argument that he had corrected the lack of standing that doomed his similar 2005 suit.
