GAO Kills Jones Lang's Beef Over Army's Reopened Bidding

Law360, Chicago (March 6, 2012, 7:29 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office released a decision Tuesday rejecting Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Inc.'s argument that the U.S. Army had improperly reopened the competition for a real estate development contract, initially awarded to Jones Lang, after Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. complained.

"In our view, the corrective action taken here is well within the broad discretion afforded to contracting agencies in these circumstances," the GAO said in the Feb. 14 order that had been subject to a protective order.
