Fed. Circ. Overturns $69M CERCLA Payment To Shell, ARCO

Law360, New York (March 7, 2012, 4:08 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit on Wednesday vacated the decision of a judge it said should have recused himself in a suit asking the U.S. to pay Shell Oil Co. and Atlantic Richfield Co. $68.8 million to help clean up sites contaminated with aviation fuel used by the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
