AT&T Overbills Contractors For Cable Repairs, Suit Says

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 6:22 PM EDT) -- Utility contractors struck AT&T Inc. with a class action in Georgia federal court on Wednesday claiming it overcharges for repairs to damaged cables and other equipment, in effect billing consumers and the companies for the same service.

North Carolina-based Blythe Development Co. and Georgia-based Callaway Grading Inc. are bringing claims on behalf of those that have paid AT&T for damage they caused to the company's underground and aboveground facilities. The National Utility Contractors Association is bringing claims on behalf of itself and its members.
