Busy Google Atty Asks To Postpone Oracle IP Trial

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 4:59 PM EDT) -- Citing other commitments, Google Inc.'s lead counsel asked a California federal judge on Wednesday to push back a trial in a suit accusing the online giant of infringing Oracle America Inc. patents and copyrights while creating the Android operating system.

Robert Van Nest, Google's lead trial counsel, sent a letter asking U.S. District Judge William Alsup to reschedule a trial set for April 16, because the attorney is scheduled to argue two other cases — one in Texas federal court and another in the northern California...
