Judge Won't Revisit NBC Ruling In 'Biggest Loser' Suit

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 5:25 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge said Thursday that he would not overturn NBC Universal Inc.'s win in a suit claiming the company stole the idea for “The Biggest Loser” from a woman's pitch, despite arguments there is new evidence in the case.

U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein issued a written order refusing to overturn a judgment against Sonya Latimore, who says NBC used her pitch for a show called "Phat Farm/Fat Farm — A Weight-Loss Adventure" as the starting point for “The Biggest Loser”...
