Weatherman Claims CBS Favors Younger Female Applicants

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 4:35 PM EDT) -- A meteorologist on Thursday sued CBS Broadcasting Inc. in California state court, accusing the network of giving its on-air weather reporter positions solely to young female candidates and saying he was denied a pair of broadcast jobs despite his qualifications.

Kyle Hunter's lawsuit claims that despite his comprehensive education and experience as both an on-air weatherman and a behind-the-scenes weather producer, Hunter was denied two separate jobs due to CBS's unstated policy of using female weather reporters to draw in male viewers.
