Neighbors Resist George Lucas Studio Development Plans

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 7:17 PM EDT) -- A California homeowner's association has appealed Marin County's approval of George Lucas' proposed 200-acre, three-story Lucasfilm Ltd. production studio, citing concerns about its impact on the environment and their quality of life.

County leaders originally had signed off on the development, to be built about eight miles northwest of San Rafael, Calif., in 1996, according to a report from the Marin County planner.
