Feds Want $17M From Lord Black

Law360, New York (August 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The federal government is trying to reach into the pockets of convicted media baron Lord Conrad Black, filing a motion Monday requesting that he and some of his fellow officers forfeit about $17 million.

In a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, prosecutors made a preliminary request that Black, and fellow defendants Jack Boultbee and Peter Atkinson, be held severally liable for the forfeiture of $16.9 million in proceeds.
