AstraZeneca Fires Back At Plaintiffs In FLSA Suits

Law360, New York (August 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- AstraZeneca LP has responded to the plaintiffs in two putative class action wage-and-hour lawsuits that accuse the pharmaceutical company of misclassifying its sales representatives as exempt from federally mandated overtime pay requirements.

AstraZeneca, whose portfolio of drugs includes the high-cholesterol treatment Crestor and the acid reflux treatment Nexium, filed answers Monday in the two pending lawsuits in Delaware and New York, both of which were brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
