EMI Targeted In Singer's Digital Royalty Rates Suit

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 4:58 PM EDT) -- The lead singer of the New Wave band The Motels on Friday slapped EMI Group Ltd. with a putative contracts class action, saying the record company didn't properly compensate musicians for licensing royalties from digital content providers like Apple Inc.’s iTunes.
