Facebook Denied $700K In Atty Fees In Friend Finder Row

Law360, New York (April 10, 2012, 6:59 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge refused to award Facebook Inc. nearly $707,000 in attorneys' fees on Tuesday, months after he tossed a putative class action challenging the social networking site's use of users' names and pictures on its Friend Finder service.

U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg said he threw out the first amended complaint in October because of a lack of jurisdiction, meaning Facebook could not be considered a prevailing party, entitled to recover attorneys' fees.
